You don't really need to pirate a program, there are already pretty good art software for free.
For raster images, you can use Krita or Medibang. For vector images, there's Inkscape. Those programs are pretty good and they're free too. Make sure to check if you can run these programs, they aren't very demanding and if you can run them then it might be good to check it out and practice there before going into more advanced stuff and programs that require you to pay.
Just as MchectorII said, everybody starts somewhere. Just keep doing on what you love and enjoy.
